Your carbon footprint
How can you reduce you're impact on the globe?
By: Tyler Barnett
Replace your home light bulbs with
energy start approved bulbs
The average home produces 1500
pounds of co2 through lighting a
year
Energy star bulbs have been proven
to reduce the amount of co2 up to
90%
Walk or ride a bike around
It’s obvious that cars are primary
contributor to co2 emissions for each
person, and cutting back on their use will
help reduce your carbon footprint
The average car produces 11,450 pounds
of carbon dioxide a year.
If you were to walk just once a week you
could be reducing your personal co2
output by close to 2,000 pounds of co2 a
year.
Turn off/unplug unused devices
Despite you thinking that something
is off, as long as its plugged in it is
draining electricity, which increases
your personal impact.
Simply unplugging any device such
as a phone charger or kitchen
appliances when not in use can
extremely reduce your carbon
footprint.
