WHAT I EXPECTED
I wanted to became proficient in the
use of a computer.
I expected to learn how to teach a
lesson using the computer.
I wanted to learn the resources
of the Internet to use them as a
teacher.
WHAT I LEARNED
1. To integrate technology into my
curriculum.
2. To create a web page with a lesson plan.
3. To upload files to a web server via FTP.
4. To create a spreadsheet with student
data and from the spreadsheet data
create a bar graph.
5. To use a composer for my page.
SUCCESSES
Students were very interested in
participating in this lesson.
The e-mail project with a class in France
was a highlight in the lesson.
Students learned and participated more
with a web designed lesson.
SHORTCOMINGS
There were not enough computers
for all my students.
Some students were computer
illiterate.
Some students did not own a
computer.

REFLECTIONS
• 40% of students were not proficient in the
use of a computer.
• Some students didn’t have computers at
home and couldn’t participate in the e-mail
project.
• The culminating activity was very
complicated for some students.
• Some activities were not fruitful.
Revisions
Students that are not proficient can
be given copies of resource
materials
To have more access to computers
at school
Activities will be less complicated
and more meaningful
Concluding Statement
We must, as teachers and
professionals, achieve proficiency
in technology to help our students to
be successful and prepared for the
challenges of a ever changing world
..
