 What is your primary communication tool with Parents?
 Email, call outs, newsletters, website?

Parents are online … Pre-requisite or Opposite?
– Currently best district over 50%, but most are still around 10%!
PC/SC – Should not just be a casually used application – it
should be your Admin “Facebook” with Parents/Students!
 It is critical that all user groups are online with PC/SC? We feel strongly
that if you are not moving in this direction – something bad is going to
happen!
 How to get them there, how to keep them coming back
 Use STU.557 to gauge success in Parents logging on

 More like “Facebook” wall post rather than an email
 Directed to everyone .. In web form you can direct it to just grade
12’s, all those in English … but not in BB
 Auto on/off for timeframe and be sensitive to not leaving it up there
forever!
 Consider creating numbering to know difference between one time
messages (can delete) and messages that you keep around/annual
 Use HTML to spruce it up

 Looking for online approval/signature on forms rather than
paper!
 Directed to just the intended audience – not necessarily to
everyone
 Reporting and auto-email based on response/lack of
 Incredible potential to reduce 1000’s of pieces of paper
and management of it!
 Definitely could be a reason to put the horse before the
cart .. Politely ‘force’ parents online to respond.

 Create the Form Information STU.328
 Decide on things like due date, what to do with form and info each year
 Use AdminConnect <bulletin board> to attach a document that
would be included with the form
 Parents respond to the form or you can manage in STU.328
 Use STU.558 to report on responses. If form is marked CLS this
report is also available to the appropriate teacher(s) and just for
their students in their TeacherConnect reports
 Use STU.525 to remind/email parents who have not responded or
have responded in a certain way

 New STU.330 to manage all forms for a particular student. Will
bring up all applicable forms for that student for you to view and/or
edit.
 New STU.648 Mass Add a WEB Form Response by Tag/Student.
Mass add a response to a form for all students with a specific tag, a
specific student and/or students, (ie: answer on behalf of all the
international students)
 Handling multi-year forms (re-use) and responses (some responses
last for the lifetime of that student at the school)
 Mark the Form appropriately with and F or B
 In new year use option STU.548 **Add this to your yearstart/end notes **

 Maintainable in AdminConnect
 Can control by category which items appear to AC,SC,PC
 Use <Copy><Paste> to paste the monthly calendar into
your newsletter
 If your IT is really good .. Can download the nightly
calendar and update your other website(s)
