Agenda
Brief description of potential senior design ideas
Stair Climbing Cart
This design will allow a user to move multiple objects
up stairs easily, eliminating the need to carry them.
It will also be easily stored in a collapse position.
Idea is to make it light weight and durable, enabling
older people to use it as well.
Automatic Dog Door Opener
Will be similar to a garage door opener allowing the
dog to come in or go out of the house on the users
terms.
Upper-Body Exercise Stroller
The top handle in a stroller will be replaced with
moving handles that enable the user to not only run
with the stroller, but also move their hands in a natural
motion that allows for upper body work-out.
Remote Controlled Blinds
A device that will be retro fitted over current blinds
that will enable a user to control it remotely.
Its functions will include:
Opening and closing the blinds
Moving the blinds up and down
Automated Fry Dispenser
This device will automate the manual fry dispensing
process that is currently in place for fast food chains
that include McDonalds, Burger King etcetera.
Anti-bedsore bed
This system would prevent bedsores from forming on
the patient by reducing pressure on the patient’s skin.
To do this the bed would roll patients over on to their
side along with moving various other body parts, at
equal time intervals.
Drug Delivery System
This system will portion and deliver the correct
amount of medicines that the doctor prescribes to the
patient.
Towel folder for the CRC
The device will automate the process of folding the
towels for Georgia Tech Campus Recreation Center.
The process will include sorting through a stack of
towels, folding and then organizing them in a neat
stack.
Conveyer system on truck
A system will be retrofitted on trucks to eliminate the
need to carry objects onto the trucks bed. It will be a
continuous process instead of the conventional batch
process.
A ramp like conveyer belt system that’s operated by a
powerful motor.
Magic Glove
This device will be created to be used as an external
control system for the bridge crane that is present in
the MARC building at Georgia Tech. The crane will
follow the user that is wearing the “Magic Glove”.
Extensive control systems and programming will be
involved with this device.
