CSR: VALUED CITIZENS INITIATIVE
• Making valued citizens through
enhancing values in education (self
acceptance, respect for self and others, dignity,
accountability, love, care, constitutional values
etc.) in schools
– Prevention of crime and violence, teenage pregnancy,
domestic violence, drug addiction etc. through
responsible choices and communication with parents,
educators and communities...
– ...leads among others to prevention of HIV/AIDS
• A GDF SUEZ - Valued Citizens
Initiative partnership since 2002
– The Valued Citizens program reached 1775 public
schools, 423000 learners and 3500 educators in
Gauteng, Limpopo and Free State
– The Inspire program was launched in 2009 and reaches
already 9000 learners in Northern KwaZuluNatal
