Average increase in medical plan premiums = 6.25%; dental increase = 7.26%
All medical plans, except HDHP & HSA: increase in some member deductibles/copays
Increase IU contributions to HDHP & HSA: $1,200 for Employee or $2,400 for Family
New prescription drug manager: Medco
Restructured employee payroll contributions:
– IU budget set at 6% increase = $186.6 million or $10.6 million increase
– Employees to contribute the difference (from approximately 4% in 2011) to:
• Seven salary tiers, from 10% of premium for salary < $30,000 to 39% if salary is $250,000 or above
• $25/mo. reduction if employee does not use tobacco & $25 reduction if spouse does not use tobacco
