Cruel and Unusual Punish
Is it inhumane to put someone in solitary confinement for a
designated period of time?
Of the roughly 2,500 prisoners serving life without parole
for crimes they committed as juveniles, about 2,000 had
their sentences mandated by state law. Describe the recent
shift in how U.S. law treats juvenile offenders and examine
the factors that have led to this shift. Defend your position,
should sentences of life imprisonment without parole for
juveniles be banned altogether?
