Test Engineer - Advanced statistics (m/f)
The opportunity
In this position you will support the Product Evaluation department with statistical analysis of test data to drive decisions.
Among other responsibilities you will have to:
• Develop, based on a good understanding of test methods, tools that support the use of statistical analysis to assess tire
performance
• Develop tools and technologies, as well as data management strategies allowing easy data access, to enable statistical analyses by
the Test Engineering community
• Leverage the usage of statistical tools and techniques in the Product Evaluation department
• Provide training and coaching in the usage of statistical techniques, guidance in the building of Design of Experiment
To join our team you will need:
Education:
The candidate must have Master degree in Mechanical Engineering or in Applied Mathematics
Languages:
Fluency in English is a must.
Good level of French or German is an asset
Experience:
• Proven working experience and interest in data analysis
• Technical expertise regarding data models, data mining and segmentation techniques
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention
to detail and accuracy
• Experience in software usage/development in Minitab, SAS JMP, or equivalent statistical analysis tools
• Experience and interest in the automotive testing environment will be considered as an asset
Skills & Qualifications:
• Demonstrate an acquaintance in software development
• Ability to work within a team as well independently
• Excellent & fact-based communicator
• Excellent coaching skills
• Open-minded
• Good knowledge of MS Office
