The reason why we chose this topic is:

Through this PBL,we want to find out the meaning
of a ''modern'' and ''powerful'' nation by comparing
and analyzing USA & China's soft power.

We will compare the economic, social, cultural,
scientific aspect,of these two nations.



It was coined by a professor called Joseph Nye of
Harvard University in 1990.
According to Joseph Nye, soft power means a nation
made other countries obey it's goal by convince and
attract them.
The soft power of a nation mainly involved in it's
culture, political value and foreign policy.
It's was also coined by Joseph Nye.
It means a nation forced bought over
the ability of
other countries by Its military might and Economic
strength.

茶).
*Tea is an Indispensable thing in
Chinese's life. Finally, we can know that
tea occupied a great position in China's

October 2003,he was launched
with his mission,Shenzhou 5 by
the rocket Long March 2F.
Although he was only stayed in
the space capsule all the way,
he started the history of
manned spacecraft of China.
And he is the representative
of China’s scientific
aspects.
From this PBL,we can conclude that a modern &
powerful nation need the following requirements:
▪ Try to use soft power to communicate with the other nations.
▪ Keep itself culture & accept other culture from different
countries.
▪ Give enough education to citizens by provide a legal
education for several years.
▪ Always make policies which conducive to citizens.
▪ Encourage scientific development.
Through this PBL, we had analyzed different sides
of USA & China. From them, we know that it is not
easy to develop a powerful & modern nation. It
demand on the corporations of different
departments & partners, each department gives
different assistants and resources, a powerful &
modern only formed if these conditions are
possess.
