An advertising campaign is a promotional program
which involves the act of distributing series of ads.
These ads are displayed and/or aired within a specific
period of time.
The most common purpose of an advertising campaign
is to introduce a new product or service and to increase
the sales of an existing product or service. This is
usually one by way of newspaper, internet, television,
and radio ad campaigns.
1) How does the visual design or feature of each ads contribute to
its purpose or appeal to the audience?
It gets Obama’s face known across the country. You see his name
in large, capital white letters. It uses a symbol depicting peace in
America. The quote draws attention to “dignity and
respect.” This appeals to voters because they get their point across
concisely.
2) How do images and layout contribute to the candidate or
character’s ethos, pathos, or logos?
Ethos- It entails Obama’s confidence in his views. This will appeal
to voters because they want someone intelligent.
Pathos- It makes the audience feel like they should listen to what
Obama is saying.
Logos- Obama’s logic is all people should be treated with dignity
and respect.

its purpose or appeal to the audience?
The visual design contributes to the scare because it contains
Obama dressed up as Osama. It also has the communist symbol
within Obamas symbol.
The purpose of this ad is to scare people because Obama looks and
sounds like Osama. Also, a lot of campaigns compare Obama to a
terrorist. The audience of this ad is to all voters.
2) How do images and layout contribute to the candidate or
character’s ethos, pathos, or logos?
Ethos: being established by a republican website.
Logos: Obama dresses up logically alike Osama.
Pathos: extremely appealing because the ad is trying to scare
people that are voting for him.
How does the visual design and feature of each adcontribute to its
purpose or appeal to the audience?
The purpose of this ad is to convince people that Obamas will lead a
promising future.
The visual design emphasizes that Obama will lead a promising
future by the big bold capital letters in the background “Barack
Obama! A New Hope”.
2) ) How do images and layout contribute to the candidate and
character’s ethos, pathos, or logos?
Ethos: appeals by having bold, big capital letters in the background.
Obama also dressed professionally which will make him look more
appealing to the audience (or the viewers.
Logos: appeals if Obama really leads US to a bright & promised
future
Pathos: appeals by making the audience or viewers feel confidence
and could trust him.
