Cell wall (rigidity, structure; plant’s “skeleton”)
Green = chlorophyll in leaf
Make food (autotroph) by photosynthesis

Nonvascular Plants = plants without tubes
Short, simple, spongy, fuzzy, live moist places,
without true stems
ex: mosses, lichen, liverworts, hornworts
Vascular Plants = containing tubes in root,
stem and leaves (xylem-high; phloem-low)
Ex: Ferns = no seeds (spores), spear-like fronds
Gymnosperms = needle leaf, seeds on cones
Angiosperms = flowering plants with seeds
inside fruit (protects & spreads seeds around)
