Habitat
Opossums live in the woods, pastures,
and parks
They live in the states of Oregon,
California, and Washington
Any wooded bushy area near a body of
water
They do not make there home
They take an abanded home of another
animal
Symbiosis
The opossum has a symbiotic relationship
with the woodchuck
The woodchuck digs and leaves the burrow
Then the opossum takes over the burrow for
it's young
Food Web
The opossum is not a picky animal it eats many
things here are a few:
Fruits, nuts, plants, seeds, clovers, and berries
Mice, moles, snakes, frogs, and crickets
The opossum is a omnivore which means it
eats both plants and animals
Adaptations
Opossums have pouches
Very thick fur coat
Are nocturnal
Have 50 sharp teeth
When threatened or seen plays possum
Strong swimmers

The tail is called a prehensile tail that means it
can rap around things

The opossum is effected by humans in many
ways here are a few:
People run them over by cars
People treat them like pests and exterminate
them
People hunt, trap, kill, and eat them
