—Mira, Lupita. Aquellas blusas tienen un
descuento del 50 por ciento. ¡Me encanta ir
de compras cuando hay una liquidación!
—¡Es una ganga! Pero no me gustan los
colores tan vivos.
—¡No importa! Están de moda. Con precios
tan bajos, voy a probarme dos o tres.
—Y mira aquellos bolsos en la mesa.
El letrero anuncia un descuento del
70 por ciento. ¡Vamos!
—¿Por qué siempre pagas en efectivo?
—Porque no me gusta usar ni mi tarjeta de
crédito ni un cheque personal.
—Yo estoy contenta. No gasté mucho. Con esta
liquidación los precios no están muy altos.
Compré esta blusa pero, ¿no piensas que es
un poco exagerada? ¿Qué te parece?
—Me parece muy bien.Y pagaste muy poco
por todas las blusas.
—Es una buena marca. Y encontré mi
talla, mediana.
—En realidad, no necesito estos bolsos. Pero
me gusta el estilo y no cuestan mucho.
—Tienes razón.Y pueden ser regalos para tus
amigas. Vamos a la caja para pagar.

Demonstrative adjectives
To point out something or someone that is far from both
you and the person you are speaking to, you use a form of
aquel, which means “that one over there.”
Here’s a chart that compares the three demonstrative
adjectives and their meanings.
Demonstrative adjectives
Actividades.
Demonstrative adjectives
All demonstrative adjectives come before
the noun and agree with the noun in gender
(masculine or feminine) and number (singular
or plural).
Using adjectives as nouns
When you are comparing two similar things, you can avoid repetition
by dropping the noun and using an article with an adjective:
¿Cuál prefieres, la sudadera apretada o la floja?
Which do you prefer, the tight sweatshirt or the loose one?
Prefiero la floja.
I prefer the loose one.
Using adjectives as nouns
You can also do this with expressions that use de:
¿Compraste una chaqueta de lana o una de cuero?
Did you buy a wool jacket or a leather one?
¿Prefieres el abrigo de Paco o el de Juan?
Do you prefer Paco’s coat or Juan’s?
