SPIDASAURS
By Nick Steeves &
Jordan Bartlett
Species Description
• The Spidasaurs is an 8 legged arachnid who has
gone undiscovered until Jordan and I were deep in
the Brazilian Rainforest near a group of clear
cutting loggers. We started climbing a tree when
we saw these weird looking creatures all over the
top of the tree so we took about 10 photos to
identify this strange looking creature. The legs on
this creature were hairy and its eyes were as big
as grapes and its body was about the size of a
baseball.

Ecosystem
The Spidasaurs lives in the Rainforest at the top
of banana trees. The reason of this creature to
not be discovered is do to the deforestation of
the brazilin rainforest for the use of the land for
grassing cattle. There is a lot of rain and it gets
its food by hunting in packs of up to 50 and
killing there prey with poisons venom.
Habitat
• The Spidasaurs lives in the Brazilian rainforest.
The spidasaurs has a lot of food, good shelter
and it get its water from the rain on the
leaves. Some abiotic factors of its habitat are
the water from thee great rains and the rich
soil from thousands of years of decomposing
organisms. Some biotic factors are the
monkeys and over 100,000 kind of other
species.
What The Habitat Looks Like
Niche
The niche of the spidasaurs is to keep the
population of little spiders under control and to
also to keep the monkeys feed there aren’t any
banana’s around to eat, it picks up sticks from
the ground to make its house in a tree. The
house is about the size of a basketball and looks
identical to an army worm nest. The house
houses up to 2 adult spidasaurs’ and up to 5
baby spidasaurs’.

Why?
• The Spidasaurs is endangered because of
deforestation burning the banana trees so its
prime predator the monkey has to rely on it’s
only food source. The spidasaurs, so this
change is disrupting the food chain of the
spidasaurs.
What We Will Do
• If we get our $1 000 000 we are looking for
we will construct a game reserve with over
300 000 banana trees.
