Climate
The climate in the rainforest is mostly rain, hence the
title, and is sunny and humid and sticky feeling.
The rainfall amount is 80 to 260 inches a year.
It’s hot and warm all year long
In some rainforests it rains 200 days a year
Location
A rainforest is a mass amount of land covered in all kinds of vegetation
like trees and vines. It is home to many of Earth’s creatures. Surprisingly
rainforests cover 7% of the world.
Physical Landscape
Emergent layer-more windy, and is where most monkeys climb
around
Canopy layer- thick branches, small breeze, and more wildlife than
the top layer
Understory layer- leafy bushes, it’s very dark and hot, blooms with
flowers, and is where the birds chose to fly and the frogs chose to sit
Forest floor-is the dirt bottom of the forest and is where insects and
anteaters loom
Rivers- rivers pass all around in rainforests and are swarming with
hungry crocodiles and deadly piranha fish. Don’t fall in.
Human Influences
The trees in some rainforest are being chopped down and used
for building purposes
The jaguars are being hunted for there fur and bones
These beautiful forests will soon no longer be here, the jaguars
won’t prowl again or maybe the beautiful plants will be destroyed
or run over by the destruction
