MRO in the world
• Largest MRO facility in Turkey with a total closed area of 48,400 m² and one of
its kind in the region with a 15,788 m² hangar area, 12,115 m² office area and
20,500 m² warehouse and shop area under one roof.
• Unique 3-storey design minimizes the need for transportation during the
operations. The hangar has no fixed service bays, which allows flexibility in
capacity planning and scheduling.
• World’s first LEAN Greenfield MRO, where the lean approach is infused into
every aspect: from the design and layout of the facility to the organizational
structure and throughout the operation.
• From the start, the Company’s staff has worked in tandem with Oliver Wyman
Consulting, a leading consulting firm with expertise in both aviation and lean
enterprise.

market consists of 5,200 aircraft from 477 customers.

•1.932 billion Euros invested in the airport to date, and to further enhance the
airport, an additional 336 million Euros expected to be invested.
•The new terminal building, first step of these investments, which will support
Sabiha Gökçen Airport’s rapid growth and bring the annual passenger capacity
to 25 million was built and put into service on 31 October 2009.
