What is Internet?


Browser such as Internet Explorer
Internet Service Provider (ISP) such as STC, Mobily
Steps to set up Internet connection using a
telephone line






Open Internet options in control panel.
On the connections tab, click setup.
Follow the on-screen instructions.
Provide the ISP’s telephone number,
username and password.
Name the connection.
Dial the number provided by your ISP. You
will be connected to the internet.

Your internet browser is not configured
correctly.
The TCP/IP configuration for your dial-up
connection to your ISP is incorrect.

In Control Panel, double-click Network connections
Right-click your Internet connection, click
properties, and then click the Networking tab
Click the Internet Protocol Adapter, and then click
Properties
Click Use the following DNS server address, and
then type the correct IP address in the Preferred
DNS server box
Click OK, and then click OK again
