Pechter’s & SBMF/Microsoft
Company Description:
• Pechter’s is a baking company with over 1,200 bread
products, serving commercial establishments in the NE
• Currently has 75 delivery routes, 270 employees an $55
million in annual sales.
Business Needs:
• Customer service costs were growing as the company
remained committed to exemplary customer satisfaction.
• Up to 100 special delivery orders a day needed over a multistate market, but costs soared to over $500,000 per year.
Solution
• Cubistix software interacts with Pechter’s existing database
and extracts information by utilizing an intuitive map-based
interface.
• Existing route drivers are tracked and redispatched to
respond to emergency bread orders.
“We estimate our potential savings in special delivery costs to drop by up to 50 percent.
This translates into an annual savings of over $250,000, a return on our investment in
3-4 months.” Gus Loukas, Vice President, Finance, Pechter’s
