• Learn how to install AODV device driver

How to install AODV
• Download AODV for Windows from
http://www.dsg.cs.tcd.ie/dynamic/?category_id=
379
• Configure wireless adapter to be in ad-hoc mode
– Set the SSID : ex) team_1, team_2, etc
– Set the fixed channel : use channel 6
– Do not configure WEP
• Configure IP address for the interface
– Allocation static IP address & mask : 192.168.143.xxx ,
255.255.0.0
– Do not configure a default gateway

• Enable the “IpEnableRouter” value to 1
• Install the AODV driver
• In the network properties dialog box, click install,
service, have-disk and choose “netfs.inf” file
• Restart your laptop

• AODV connection test in the
classroom
– How many node are identified
on the route table?
• in the prompt window, input
“route print” and then enter
(if you delete route entry,
“iproute –d IP_address”)
• You can see routes for any
other aodv nodes in range
– Using the Iperf, send/receive
some data under the ad-hoc
network
