AIRNet - What is an Airbus RTC?
• An Airbus RTC is a single coherent team, located within a specific University, made
up from senior academic(s) together with a number of full time research staff and a
body of students.
• The RTC will have a single academic as Head of Centre and a single corresponding
Airbus Partnership Manager
• The RTC will have a clear definition of its technical scope and an agreed set of
goals and objectives within a long term committed relationship with Airbus
• The topic will be of long-term importance where a university’s capabilities,
experience and facilities can make an important contribution
• The Centre will be engaged in a programme of research work funded by Airbus and
