WHAT’S HAPPENING ON THE FINANCE
SIDE?
• Previously
• JPA would fund wireless & VoIP 9-1-1
• PSAP would fund landline 9-1-1
• After the ESInet connection is made for a PSAP
• JPA funds all 9-1-1 delivery (LL, VoIP, WRLS)
• Important!!!!!
• Make sure to clean up your LEC billing after ESInet is
deployed.
• Particularly those PSAPs with 9-1-1 trunks coming from the
tandem in non-CenturyLink exchanges.
WHAT’S HAPPENING IN 2015?
• MSAG Development
• Develop MSAGs where they do not exist
• Update MSAGs are not conformant with USPS addressing
• New Interconnection Options for Local Exchange
Carriers.
• Need to move LEC to PSAP direct trunks to common
aggregation points (Analog and IP)
• Text to 9-1-1 Deployment

• Need Memorandum of Understanding finalized
• PSAPs: Please sign if you haven’t already.
• NDACo still working with CenturyLink, Intrado on a
suitable ESInet connection strategy for RRRDC & GF
• RRRDC/GF is CenturyLink’s first multi-node direct IP
deployment on Viper
• Being on the leading edge is delaying the process a bit
• NDACo working with CenturyLink on Text-to-911
amendment to NG9-1-1 agreement.
• Legal stuff and one-time configuration expenses for PSAPs
• PSAPs will still be responsible for purchasing their own CPE
upgrades
