Scientific problem • We have all this resources • how do we make sure that all researchers have gotten access to these research materials? • How do we guarantee that all this information is used as intended? • How can we make sure that new researchers can follow the same footstep by learning from experienced one • How do we make sure that every time spent on internet is worse spending • 4 Social networks are beyond liking, chatting and commenting…. • We want to show that social networks are there to solve problem Scientific Solution • 5 We have all this resources • We could have used social media but.. • Whom do you think spent searching a specific research paper on Facebook • We could have used Google search engine but Google does not provide tailor-made solution to those searches • Wouldn’t be better to build our professional social network under EthERNet • This serves as index of resources to which those website that contain resources are listed here Scientific Solution • This is not just a social network • It is discussion forum in which researcher collaborate on different issues • 6 It is a forum in which universities exchange experience • So other research companies can interact with this researchers through this social network through EthERNet • It is network of Ethiopian/African Researchers Workflow • There could be two kind of users normal and admin : • 7 Admin is all about controlling the situations, giving information, indexing publications ….
