3. 3rd and final war with Carthage: Utterly destroy Carthage. Sow with salt!

hurts farmers. Also, slaves become a threat.
- Many from the country come to Rome for work. Chaos in
the city. However spoil taken during wars have made the city
very rich!

 The Roman Republic
declines

Senate and People of Rome.

on, a Major slave
revolt takes place, led
by the slave-gladiator

However, Spartacus
fails. 6000 slaves
who took part in the
revolt are crucified
along the roadsides.
