Tell the World
By: Kara Monger
My Project
– Our project assignment came out about the same time the cast of
The View made their ridiculous comments about nurses and their
“doctor’s stethoscopes.” I wanted to write a letter to The View to
express my thoughts and feelings on what they said about nurses
around the world.
– I feel strongly about my profession and I feel like I am noble, caring
person and I respect all nurses around the world.
My Purpose
– I wanted to share with The View what I do everyday.
– I also wanted to emphasize what other nurses around the world
do everyday.
– Nurses:
Put others before themselves
Work long hours
Are on their feet constantly

Caring for the Patient
– I provide care to patient’s at their most vulnerable state. My patient’s are
unconscious under anesthesia and unable to make their own decisions.
– It is my duty to make sure:
– The correct site is being operated on
– The field stays sterile
– The right medications are given
– Patient is positioned appropriately
– The best possible care is given to the patient
The End Result
– I did not receive a letter back from The View. At first, I thought I
might get a response back stating that they were sorry or some
type of apology letter, but I did not get anything back at all. It is
possible that they still will write one back to me. However, I am
not holding my breath.
– All nurses around the world should put their scrubs on proudly.
We are the reason healthcare exists and we make patients better
everyday. Thank you to all of my fellow nurses that get up
everyday to help others!
