The Invader:
• Gram-positive cocci in
clusters
• isolated from both lungs
• surgical incision
• yellowish, b-hemolytic
colonies on sheep blood
agar
• resistant to oxacillin,
penicillin, erythromycin,
and gentamycin
• sensitive to vancomycin
