5K Challenge
5K Challenge – What is it?
Opportunity to find revenue that your practice
should be claiming but isn’t.
– Adding patients to registers will increase prevalence, which
in turn will increase the value of each QOF point within that
domain. Even if you are already achieving maximum
points, you could still increase your income.
If we can’t identify enough missed income to
cover the cost of the service - we won’t charge
you!
– No risk. Nothing to lose
– No need to check records - we do the work for you
– 100% satisfaction from practices like yours that have
already made use of the service
– Improves data quality at the practice
– Helps clinicians understand the importance and impact of
correct clinical coding
www.inps.co.uk
5K Challenge – How does it work?
QOF specialist trainer on-site for 2 days
– Identify patients with no appropriate diagnostic Read code
– Add read code or provide lists of patients for work to be
done by practice
– Summary of work and breakdown of increase to practice
income
Additional benefits
– Advice to improve coding leading to better management of
patients ensuring appropriate care is given
