Specification
- Precise temperature control in the different parts of test bench
during cryogenic tests.
- The resistance temperature sensors (Pt100, TVO) are being used as
a thermometers.
- The quantity of sensors (~25), their location and characteristics
depends on type of the test session.
The thermometry system should provide:
1.Temperature data acquisition and storage in the 24x7x365x5 mode;
2.Temperature data mapping in the graphs, tables and mnemonic
diagrams;
3.Stored temperature data viewing and exporting;
4.Easy configuration;

Hardware
1. Resistance temperature sensors:
- TVO. Range: 1 kΩ (293 K) – 4.5 kΩ (4 K);
- Pt100. Range: 100 Ω (293 K) – 7 Ω (4 K);
2. NI PXI-8820 system controller;
3. NI PXIe-4357 Data Acquisition
for RTD Measurements (24 bit,
20 channels);
4. Precise current sources
- 20 µA for TVO;
- 500 µA for Pt100;

ADC data acquisition module (PXI modules control, data acquisition,

Summary:
1. Standalone thermometry system for superconducting magnets test
bench;
2. Prototype for the NICA thermometry system;
3. Precision of the voltage drop across the sensor measurement ~ 10µV
per 80 mV scale. (~0.0125%);
4. User-friendly flexible web client application;
5. Toolbox consist of Tango web tools (WS, REST) with JavaScript web
framework (like ExtJS) can be used for developing other control
system client applications.
Current work:
1. Extend the system to 6 shoulders (currently 2);
2. New powerfull server Supermicro (for data storage);
3. New configuration tool (for operator’s pleasure);
