The Hidden Curriculum
All those things taught and learned in
education which do not form part of the overt
curriculum.
In particular it refers to attitudes, beliefs and
values that students learn along side the
knowledge and skills of the overt curriculum.
The messages derived from the Hidden
Curriculum have a powerful influence on
pupils’ behaviour and their progress or lack
of it in school.
