After 3 days from arrival you have to register at the police
station
If you wish to stay over 3 months you should apply for a
residence permit

Employment procedures
1. Job vacancy is noticed (All employers are
obliged to give notice of their vacancy with the
form “notification” of the job vacancy”)
2. Job application

4. Health certificate (not obligatory)
5. Employment contract (permanent, temporary)
6. Tax and indentification number
7. Social insurance within 8 days from the start of
work ( arranged by employer ) – health insurance
card
Working time
1.Full time – not more than 42 hours, but not
less than 36
2.Extra hours – allowed 8 hours/week or
20 hours/month or 180 hours/year
3.Night work - 10 p.m.- 6.a.m.
Annual leave
At least 4 weeks ( full-time or part-time employment )
5 days/week - 20 days
6 days/week - 24 days
You are entitled to annual leave after 6 months of
work + you acquire a financial supplement
Remuneration
Minimum salary: 589,19 € brutto ( Avg. 2008 )
Average salary: 883 € net ( May 2008 )
Best salaries: Osrednjeslovenska region, Gorenjska
region, Obalno-kraška region and Goriška region
Salary supplement:
- food allowance: 3,69 € / day
- transport to work: refund of costs of public transport
(it depends on employer)
Social contributions:
- employer: 16,10%
- employee: 22,10%
Taxes depend on salary ( 16 - 41 % )
