Preferences Maps
Purpose: to gather information about what works for the
student/ doesn’t work in different contexts within the
purpose for planning.
• A preferences map can be conducted for the following
areas:
Learning and performing
Communication and relationships
Emotions/satisfaction (Works: happy, excited, motivated,
Doesn’t work: angry, frustrated, sad, bored, disappointed etc.)
