Romantic relationships are salient to interpersonal
communication.
Some would define interpersonal communication as
communication between a dyad.

Discussion Question
 The reading suggests that we all partake in mindless
interaction when communicating with others because
we use predetermined perceptions about the social
world. Why do you think we all utilize these fixed
ideas when interacting with someone for the first
time? Do you believe that our past experiences are
good indicators for how our future experiences will go
or should we try and consciously push aside our
preconceived notions and start fresh?
USU has started a new initiative…
 Make USU Campus more mindful
 They loved the compliment guys at Purdue and felt that they

 They have hired you to come up with an idea, to be
implemented on USU’s campus that will make college
students more mindful in a positive way
 Get in groups of 3/4
