 1. Do you need to use English to
commutate at work? How important
is it for you to use English to
communicate?
 A:Really necessary. There are a lot
of travelers from around the world,
so English is the basic language to
me.
 2. With what media and on what occasion
do you use English to commutate? What
are the purposes of the communication?
 A: Most of our meetings in the internal
part of the company are face to face to
update each company informations and
notes; some travelers booking the tickets
on the telephone and Internet even
consulting or buy the tickets on the
reception desk.

problems do you have? What
strategies and resources do you use
to solve the problems?
 A: No problem.
 4. How do you improve your
language and cultural competence?
 A:To read some books or surfing the
Internet to find information.
 5. What cross-cultural communication
problems do you have? What strategies
and resources do you use to solve the
problems?
 A:I find many foreigners are willing to
speak, they can even speak very fluently in
Chinese. Korean and Japanese
communicate in English is limited, I think
we still need to learn some basic Korean
and Japanese would be better.

solving experience? How important is it for
you?
 A: Sometimes I will surf the Internet to
search the information or read the books in
the bookstores. The best way is to
exchange my opinions with colleagues.
Japanese and Korean travelers mostly are
the old, their English ability is limited,
when I encountered this situation I feel
really frustrated. So I strengthen these two
languages recently.
 7. What help do you think the
government, the society or the
company should provide to help
workers improve their English
competence?
 A:I think the best solution is to study
by oneself.
 8. What suggestion do you have for
school English education?
 A: All-English education and force
everyone to communicate with
English.
