Using the food guide pyramid can help you get
all the nutrients your body requires
Many foods combine more than 1 food group
(example- Ham & cheese sandwich)
Eat many different types of foods from each
food group to obtain all your nutrients
Diet high in calories can lead to weight gain
Most 11-14 yr. olds require 2200-2500 cal./day
