What it is European Family Set (EFS)?
It is compendium, which aimed to collect in one publication all the most
important and the best available materials about parenthood of
people with intellectual or learning disabilities.
To whom EFS it is addressed ?
Professionals and practitioners (psychologist, special pedagogues,
social worker, disability care worker, midwives etc) working with
parents with disabilities and working with people with intellectual
disabilities in general.
Volunteers who would like to accompany and assist parents with
disabilities.

Materials or educational activities have already been tested and
implemented to the target group with success
Chosen materials come from the countries of partner
institutions; from English speaking countries (e.g. UK, USA,
Canada, Australia) or other countries where, descriptions could
be found in English
Available for free ( in majority of cases)

Evaluation of EFS by target groups
Draft version of EFS was evaluated by the experts during
Naples meeting in November 2012. All recommendations given
by the experts were introduced to the second version
Second version was evaluated during Focus Groups in each
partner country in February and March 2013 ( participants:
practitioners, parents, volunteers est.)
Second version was evaluated also during pilot test in Austria,
Hungary, Spain and Italy in April and May 2013
All requested comments and recommendations were
implemented to the final version
