experience with expanded opportunities for

 Media Communication will reflect experiential
preparation in Video Production, Journalism
 Taps unserved market in Sports Video Production
 Fall 2015, Event Web Streaming course, 30 students
 Spring 2016, Event Web Streaming capped at 20
 Looking at additional courses to accommodate
student demand

technology, and communication
 Media Communication has strong employment
potential due to experiential learning focus; growth
for both co-op and permanent placements
 U.S. labor statistics project around 5% increased
demand for video production jobs through 2022
Added Value: ESPN3 & UT
 August, 2015, UT Athletics/ESPN3 begins
streamcasting 35-70 contests each year
 Staffed primarily by COMM student majors, mentored
by COMM faculty and staff
 Build UT brand locally, regionally, nationally
 Increase visibility in ever-expanding mediated world
 Gives Rocket alumni a weekly opportunity to stay
connected with UT from anywhere in the world
