CRITICAL SUCCESS FACTORS
•
•
•
•
Diversify the major from other COBE majors,
Management most of all.
Keep a constant 5 to 10 percent growth rate of
decided Marketing majors each year for the next 10
years
For every 30 new students increased into the major,
one new faculty member should be added to the
department
Marketing electives should be added or dropped
every few years.

RECOMMENDATIONS
UNIV100 BUSINESS SLIDESHOW
•
•
A graduate student of COBE major would attend
University 100 classes to give a “quick fact” overview
of each COBE major.
Facts include:
•
•
•
•
•
average starting salary per major
electives offered
types of possible careers etc.
This would give students a early, clear perception of
each COBE department
You can’t force students to be interested in
marketing, you can only point out aspects that might
get their attention.

Example Electives:

- Consumer Behavior

BUS200: Introduction to Business
Overview Business Class
Takes place of a required Gen. Ed. Class
Touches base on all business majors, as you
survey aspects of all five Business majors
Rotating faculty teach the course
ALUMNI MEET & GREET
•
Small catered Event
•
•
•
Marketing majors/minors, alumni/successful graduates
in the Marketing field, and Faculty come together to
network, converse, and enjoy.
Programs become successful and highly regarded
because of the opportunities provided by them.
This will not only build relations with alumni but
also build students in person networking skills.
