Zheng He
 Zheng He sailed under the Ming dynasty in
China. From 1405 to 1433.
 He led an armada of 62 ships carrying 25,000
sailors.
 They sailed all around South East Asia
 Went as far West as the Red Sea and the
South Eastern coast of Africa.
 These voyages vastly expanded China’s trading
empire as well as showing their power over
other civilizations that they encountered.
James Cook
 James Cook is going to claim the continent
of Australia for Britain
 Eventually the colony that he sets up there
will become a British prison colony.
Samuel de Champlain
 He is the founder and first governor of the
French colony of Quebec
 He is credited with exploring many of the
waterways in southern Canada and the
Northern United States.
 Lake Champlain is named after him.
