Objective
• Create a song, rap, or poem to remember the order of the dynasties,
important people and major achievements of Ancient China.
• Please use your World History Book to find information. The internet is not
necessary for this project.
• Must include the following dynasties with their rulers and major
achievements: (55 points)
– Xia, Shang, Zhou, Qin, Han

Other Instructions
If you do a song or rap, it must be a parody, meaning use the “music” from a
song that has already been created.
Song, Rap, or Poem will be presented in class (15 points)
Song, Rap, or Poem Must Be Typed (15 points)
Must rhyme or flow with beat/tune (15 points)
Optional Enrichment (choose one)
– Enrichment #1: Create a video, audio recording or animations with Song, Rap,
or Poem. Please save your creation (preferably on a cd-rom) and bring it to class.
– Enrichment #2: Create a Chinese inspired dish to bring to class. Please make
enough for about 24-25 students. Your dish must include the full recipe and
historical background knowledge on dish.
