Empires/Cultures, Conflicts, etc…..
• Provide picture along with paragraph and present to

Lesson Objectives
• Students will research and learn the importance of
boarders and how they constantly change and evolve
through out history
procedure
• Before Trip – Students given background information
on the history of the Great Wall
• Access to websites, videos and online quiz
• Post trip – Students will be given outline of an
assignment to complete and present in the next class
rationale
• Why is this technology appropriate: It is appropriate
because it gives students a real life perspective of the
Great wall. They can do almost everything but walk on
the wall itself.
• How it enhances instructional process: Students are
given the opportunity to see the great wall up close and
in person. This is an opportunity that many students
will never get to do in their lifetime.
Reflection
• I fell that using technology really enhances learning
especially in a Social Studies classroom as much of
history is better understood visually than in text. If you
can see it you can believe it.
• The difficult part for me was finding interactive
websites to walk on the great wall. You can see
sections and watch videos but nothing like a virtual
walk was accessible online
