mouth of the Columbia River
Sector prepared for ICP stand-up
Vessel able to anchor and tugs onscene within 12 hours
Able to make repairs verified by Class
Society and proceeded into port
Nov 10: Lost propulsion transiting outbound IVO Clatsop Spit
Tug WILLAMETTE CHAMPION directed to drop load and assist the vessel
Issued COTP Order requiring appropriate sea going tugs to be on station and tend
to the vessel while transiting in the Columbia River COTP Zone off the coast of
Oregon and Washington, in U.S waters
Required Class Society to verify satisfactory repairs and proper operation of the
main engine and anchors
Coordinated with Sector Puget Sound for transit plan and requirements
