What was one of the unintended
effects of the United States institution of
the Marshall Plan in Europe ?

It helped Europe and
Japan a little too
much and to be
able to build their
industries which
ended up hurting the
USA’s business and
ultimately the wealth
of the country.
why was it generally believed that the
Marshall Plan was vital to the economic
and military stability in the United States
and Europe ?

We feared that
because their countries
were so weak and
broke they would turn to
a communist country so
that helped us Military
wise to prevent future
wars. Also, with Europe
back on its feet we
would be able to open
free trade again and
that would help our
industry.
Why was a completely rebuilt and
functioning Europe important to the
U.S. economy ?

The US and Europe
could be a role model
for democracy
throughout the world
and be used to make
an impression on the
world together. They
have similar interests
and can trade with
each other and make
money off of each
other.
