The Breathing Processes
The breathing process is one of the
main functions of the respiratory
system. The process, is you inhale
carbon dioxide and oxygen, next it
goes into the trachea, then to the
lungs, then where the alveoli
removes the carbon dioxide which
you exhale.
The major function of the
respiratory system.
The respiratory system carries oxygen to other systems to
make them work. It helps us breath.
One of the systems that it is connected to is the circulatory
system.
Activity
•
The amount of air going in and out of
your body is depending on how
active you are. If you are very active
then you breath heavier. If you just
lounge out on the couch you breath
normally.
The Organs and their functions.
The lungs separates carbon dioxide from
the oxygen.
The diaphragm is the long flat muscle
beneath the lungs. When you inhale your
diaphragm contracts and moves
downward.
Alveoli are small tiny air sacs which
bronchi go into.
The trachea is where the air goes into
after your mouth.
A capillary is a short narrow blood vessel.
The nose and mouth
The nose and mouth
are very important to
the respiratory
system. You breath
in with your nose or
your mouth. Without
these you wouldn’t
get the oxygen you
need.
Fun facts
Your voice box is used for talking.
The trachea filters carbon dioxide.
The left lung is slightly bigger than the
right one.
The left lung has two lobes.
The right lung is divided into three
lobes.
Here’s a little puzzle.
