Respiration
• process to give oxygen to all body cells and remove
carbon dioxide
Breathing
• external respiration
• the absorption of oxygen from the air and removal of
carbon dioxide by the lungs
• consists of inhalation and exhalation
• inhalation (inspiration of the air into the lungs)
• exhalation (expiration of the air out of the lungs)
