symbol of the city’s rich,
yet often tragic history.

scene of several
coronations and King
Matthias’ two weddings.

House was built in neoRenaissance style in 1884.

building was designed by
Ybl Miklós, a major figure of
Hungarian architecture of
19th century.

bridge across the Danube in
Budapest, and was opened
in 1849. The bridge has the
name of István Széchenyi, a
major supporter of its
construction, attached to it,
but is most commonly
known as the Chain Bridge.
At the time of its
construction, it was regarded
as one of the modern
world's engineering
wonders.

Budapest is 375 meters
long.
