An instrument used to hear the sounds
of body organs.
Hearing Aid

An instrument used to help people with
a hearing problem hear.
Sound Travel
The sound vibrations travel through
the air in all directions.
 Sounds can move through solids, liquids,
and gas.


Sounds are louder close up

Speed of Sound

Sounds travel faster

A sound can be heard through the
ground before it could be heard in the
air.
 Sound cannot travel in outer space
because there is no air.

How can you make a drum
sound louder?
Use more energy and force to beat on the
drum.
 To make a drum sound louder, you need
to hit the drum harder.

