Database Generic Risk Assessments
of Feed Materials


First generic risk assessments in 1999
Decision 2003:
a) Basic rule : GMP+ certified companies use
only feed materials from GMP+-certified
companies (1999), and
b) Additionally: feed materials must be listed in
the Database Risk assessments Feed
materials
Database generic risk assessments of
feed materials
Goals:
 To avoid the use of incidental lots without a previous
risk assessment
 Helping hand for:
 Company specific risk and hazard analysis
 Supplier assessment
 Reference for auditors in case of GMP+ - certification
 Transparency regarding production process and risk
assessment towards the next links in de chain and
towards official authorities
Database generic risk assessments of
feed materials
 Generic and (mostly) not company specific
 Some cases one feed material per assessment,
some cases a lot per assessment (soy oil industry:
22; potato industry: 18)
 Number of feed materials: 535
 Number of risk assessments: 182
