Issue #1- 1st 9 Weeks
Read one of your library books at bedtime every
day. Bring your books to school everyday.
Language Arts – Fiction & Non fiction, characters,
Monday– Read your fluency folder for one minute.
Pages: Week 2 word list, List 2 fluency phrases, and
story: Old School (time for one minute); Write
spelling words three times each. Ready library book.
Tuesday– Read your fluency folder for one minute.
Pages: Week 2 word list, List 2 fluency phrases, and
story: Old School (time for one minute); Write
spelling words in ABC order. Read library book.
Wednesday- Read your fluency folder for one minute.
Pages: Week 2 word list, List 2 fluency phrases, and
story: Old School (time for one minute); Write a
sentence for all spelling words.
Thursday- Read your fluency folder for one minute.
Pages: Week 2 word list, List 2 fluency phrases, and
story: Old School (time for one minute); Write a
sentence for all vocabulary words.
Friday-Tests on story of the week, spelling words,
vocabulary words . I will send the tests on Friday.
Please sign and return them. If you don’t get them,
please write me a note in the agenda.
Announcements
•Breakfast starts right at 7:30am and ends exactly at
7:40a.m.
•Please send a healthy snack such as carrots, fruits,
veggies, etc. for the afternoon. Thank you for not
sending sweets.
•Please sign the agenda everyday. If you wish to speak
with me, please write me a note in the agenda and I will
call you.
•We need two more folders for the computer folder and
reading log.
•Enjoy reading with your child everyday.
•Research says that children that sleep 8 to 10 hours
perform better at school.
