Our STAR of the Week is Eve!! Today we are sending home a reading log to earn a ticket for
Magic Mountain. This form is due no later than Friday, February 24th. No late entries will be accepted!
Next Monday is Martin Luther King Jr. Day; therefore we will not have school.

Homework
Nightly Homework- Read every night for 10-20 minutes. Fill out Reading Log and return Friday. Practice for
Spelling Test week 14. Use January’s Speller’s Choice Menu and Spellingcity.com/losprimeros/. Study for Vocabulary
Test week 14. Use Sight Word Activity Sheet , Fry Words App, or SpellingCity.com/losprimeros. Muscle Math: study
week 14 (Subtraction- Ones). XtraMath.org – use website 2x this week. Continue having your child practice
their school Google password to keep it in their memory. Pick one of the January Poems and start to
memorize. Your child will recite one of the poems to the class at the end of the month! If your child has
not recited the November or December poem(s) then continue to have them memorize and let us know
when they are ready to recite it.
The schedule below is just a suggestion:
Monday: Math: Lesson 7 . Spelling: Write words three times each on lined paper provided (keep at home).
Tuesday: Math: Lesson 8. Capitalization: pg. 6 (Martin Luther King Jr. page) Use Storyline online or
HMH app to listen to a book or read book bag.
Wednesday: Spelling Test tomorrow! Study using SpellingCity.com or study application of choice.
Thursday: High Frequency Words: pg.23 Vocabulary: Practice/Study Vocabulary Week words using
an app on your home ipad/iphone/computer (Fry Words or Spellingcity.com/losprimeros/).
Vocabulary and Mountain Math Tests tomorrow! Return Homework Packet tomorrow!
Friday-Sunday: Read 20 minutes nightly. Have a wonderful weekend! Return book bag Monday
