The members met in their
clubhouse.
I see two small words in this long word: club and house.
I know that a club can be a heavy stick of wood or it can
be a group of people that are together for some reason.
A house is a building. Since the sentence is about
members, or people, the word club probably means
“group.” Therefore a clubhouse is a building used
by a group. This makes sense in the sentence.
