OBJECTIVES
 Identify
speech sounds s and sh in the
initial position of the word.
 Recognizes words using spelling patterns
with consonant blends in the initial
position
 Associate names of objects/pictures with
their printed symbols.
Procedure
 Preliminary Activity
 What are rhyming words? I will say
a pair of words, touch your nose when
you hear words that rhyme.

Lesson Proper
1. Allow the pupils to say the name
of each pictures with you.

2.
Ask individual pupils to use each word
in a sentence and let the class
repeat the sentences given.
3. Encourage pupils to repeat the sound of
the letters while you underline them giving
emphasis on how the sounds of s and sh
differ.
